About Us

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines is made up of the American Citizen Services and the Visa Units. 

The American Citizen Services unit assists U.S. citizens living abroad by accepting passport applications, issuing emergency passports, reports of birth and death abroad, notarial services, and providing emergency services for U.S. citizens in distress.

The Visa Unitsprovide services to those seeking to enter the United States for a temporary period with a U.S. nonimmigrant visa for general business, tourism, study, exchange, temporary work, and many other reasons.  Immigrant visas are for those wishing to take up indefinite or permanent residence in the United States.

  • Customer Service Center for general inquiries and visa delivery status: (02) 8548-8223 or (02) 7792-8988, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays.  Callers in the United States should call (703) 520-2235 on its Eastern Standard Time equivalent of operational hours in the Philippines.

Please note that ACS will NOT respond to inquiries related to other agencies, to include Social Security or Veterans Affairs.
